This year, Arada Festival launches its concept with the slogan BALD BUT HAIRY. We organize interdisciplinary meetings with this slogan. Activists, academics and artists are meeting in a chain of activities through hair, ”between body and gender studies”. 9. Arada festival started in Istanbul between 10th-16th February in 2020.
9. Arada festival will continue with different activities in different cities in worldwide.
Open Call for the people interested can send their research on interdisciplinary arts (fine arts or performance arts- it doesn’t need to be finished works) or ideas, research presentations on Hair, Body and gender studies.
- You can apply with performances, shows, visual arts, discussions, seminars, film screenings and parties…
First meetings will took a place in Istanbul during February in 2020. Second meeting will be organized in Istanbul again in May. Then during all year, meetings will continue with different activities in different cities . (Berlin, London, Vienna, Amsterdam, Sofia, Budapest, Brussels, Tehran, Beirut, Sofia)
